Journalists from Ecuadorian media reported that the youth club Al-Ahli has signed a heavy-duty deal, having signed a contract with player Sebastien Gonzales.

According to the newspaper "Football", the 21-year-old player joined the club Al-Ahli on a free transfer, finishing his contract with his previous team - Ecuadorian club Liga de Quito.

The publication added: "Sebastien Gonzales' contract with Liga de Quito expired during the summer transfer window, and he did not extend the contract with the club, despite the fact that the club management offered to extend the agreement with the talented player".

It is specified that the young player chose to move to the club Al-Ahli, instead of staying with one of the leading clubs in the Ecuadorian league.

The publication continued: "Gonzales had plans to move to one of the European leagues, but the offer from the club Al-Ahli enabled a change in his direction and a move to the UAE, where he signed a contract directly after successfully passing a medical examination".

It is reported that Liga de Quito missed the opportunity to sell the young player for no less than one million dollars, in this way, he transferred to the club Al-Ahli absolutely free of charge.

Al-Ahli completed the registration procedure of Sebastien Gonzales in its roster in the category of residents, according to the official site of the Professional League, where he has already participated in one match against the duplicating team.
