Ecuadorian club Guayaquil City made an awkward incident during the presentation of a new player. The club asked midfielder Damian Diaz, known as 'Kitto', to dedicate the ball to the fans after he signed it. Diaz, who was born in Rosario, just like Lionel Messi, began his career at Central Rosario and also played for Boca Juniors and teams in Chile, Ecuador, and the UAE with Al Wahda, unexpectedly struck the ball hard into the stands. This moment caused a shock among the fans, and the video of the incident quickly spread online. Diaz, a former Al Wahda player and new signing for Guayaquil City, hit the ball right in the face of one of the fans present at his official presentation at the stadium. Guayaquil City was relegated to the second division in 2023 but, after a successful campaign, returned to the top flight for the 2026 season. Kitto was chosen for this move.
