The name of artist Yemik (Yerik Emil Navarro) was back in the news on Wednesday after his team, including his lawyer, sent a letter to the general director of the Penitentiary System, Jorge Torregroza Sanjur, to clarify rumors about his alleged release. In the statement, the team made it clear that the artist has no connection to the circulating information, which they explain was generated by followers and unofficial social media accounts. They also reiterated that Yemil does not manage his digital platforms, as they are fully administered by his team, so any content posted on his profiles does not come directly from him nor is it authorized by him. On the other hand, his lawyer, Diana Moreno, filed a rights violation hearing before the Compliance Court of the First Judicial Circuit, following the singer's internal transfer to a maximum-security area within the prison. The defense assures that every time a publication related to the reggaeton artist appears, 'a report is drawn up holding him responsible,' which is why they will proceed with complaints, legal actions, and other corresponding measures against the officials involved.
