A new victory would leave them in a favorable position to advance to the next phase, but a defeat could change the outlook.
On the other hand, Barcelona began its participation in the Cup with a home win against Independiente del Valle and a draw against River at El Monumental; however, in the last match, they surprisingly lost to Universitario at their stadium.
